You may be thinking 'hmm Lasan sounds familiar' - well, that's because firstly, it won Gordon Ramsays F word - Best Local Restaurant in 2010 and since then, under Chef Director Aktar Islam, its gone from strength to strength with a ridiculously long list of awards to its name. Aktar Islam also won the fish course in 2011 on The Great British Menu, one of my favourite foodie TV shows. Aktar and his team cook traditional Indian cuisine but with a modern edge, using the highest quality ingredients in a fantastic Birmingham City Centre location.

Three courses of Indian deliciousness, each consisting of a variety of mouth-watering classics. Traditional Indian banquets are about sharing great food and life-affirming fun times with family and friends - dishes are placed in the centre of the table and everyone gets stuck in.
|Lasan is based in a contemporary building in St Pauls Square, central Birmingham|
