A mouthful of foodie musings all the way from the Midlands...
Farndon Fields Farm Shop, Market Harborough
29 Mar 2014
A very quick post after a crazy busy week! I just wanted to give a little shout out to Farndon Fields Farm Shop. This place is fantastic - imagine the best farm shop you can and you'll be about there.
Just on the outskirts of Market Harborough, Farndon Fields is a treasure trove for local suppliers with enough veg to feed an army, lots of which comes from their own farm. Their in house butchers sells meat from Leicestershire and Northamptonshire farmers and I was really pleased to also see some great local brands on the shelves, including Warner Edwards gin and Lincolnshire Poacher cheese. The food is enough of a draw for me but they also have some lovely gift items too.
Now take a virtual walk through these unassuming doors and see what wonders await (and if visiting for real... maybe wait til pay day! You'll spend a fortune!)
The farm shop also has a lovely cafe and outdoor garden centre. They are open Mondays- Sat 8-6pm and Sundays and Bank Holidays 10-4pm!
