Meatball & Red Pepper Pasta Bake

It suddenly dawned on me that its almost the end of May and whilst I've been watching all these wonderful recipes pop up on CreditCrunchMunch (which I'm hosting this month), I've forgotten to put my own entry in! So, here it is - its not going to win any awards for creativity and its certainly not a gourmet creation but this meatball bake makes a change from spaghetti bolognese and lasagne. Jarred roasted red peppers are a staple in my cupboards, they are just so versatile! This dish is tasty, filling and doesn't cost too much to pull together.

Brompton Cookery School with Marcus Bean

Sometimes I just bloody love being a food blogger. A few weeks ago I was invited to spend the day at Brompton Cookery School nr Shrewsbury, owned and run by Marcus Bean. Along with some of my fellow BBC Good Food Show bloggers, I spent the day baking, learning a little about foraging and of course.. eating!

This is a great recipe from Gordon's Great Escape: Southeast Asia. Its one of my favourite food perve books, one which frequently comes off the shelf for a read but one I rarely cook from. Usually this is because I find I've not got all the ingredients needed for a lot of South East Asian cooking so when I do use it, its because I've planned ahead and been shopping!

Paxton & Whitfield, Stratford upon Avon

One of my all time fave things is cheese. And I'm not fussy - as long as it doesn't come vacuum packed and bland, I'll gobble up everything from a gooey Camembert to the bluest Stilton. So, I was very pleased to  visit the Stratford upon Avon Paxton & Whitfield shop recently.
