Lasagne with Lea & Perrins

So today I'm posting a recipe for.... lasagne.  I know what you're thinking - lasagne? Everyone knows how to make that. And you probably do, but Lea and Perrins challenged me to make a 'lovelea' lasagne using their Worcestershire sauce and so, here we are, fine tuning a classic! Get ready for some lasagne porn and a few Lea and Perrins bottle shots thrown in for good measure!

Review: Oscar & Rosie's at Das Kino, Nottingham

After a shocking amount of time since they opened, I've finally got my self into gear and been for pizza at Das Kino, the newish ping pong bar in Nottingham's lace market. Achingly cool and already full at 6:30pm on a Tuesday evening, we headed straight to the bar for a couple of beers before sitting down for the main event - Oscar & Rosie's pizza.

Yellow Miso Broth with King Prawns & Shirataki Noodles

In the last year or so, my love of Japanese, South East Asian and Chinese food has just shot through the roof. If its got noodles, miso or chillies and ginger in it, I want it in my belly.

yutaka miso and noodles

I've cooked with Yutaka before and loved the quality so when they asked if I wanted to try some of their new products I jumped at the chance! There is a miso soup recipe on my blog already (here) using the paste but here I'm using their ready made soup sachets. This particular one won a Great Taste Award last year too. The best thing here is how fast this is to make! It'd be perfect to whip up on a work night and double bonus is that this is a really healthy dish.

Food photograpy with Scott Choucino

Most of my regular readers are aware that by day I'm the marketing manager for a small group of pubs and restaurants in the East Midlands. It's not that often that my work crosses over into my blog but today I want to share some of the amazing food photography we've recently been working on in preparation for the launch of spring menus.
