What's going on in Leicester at the moment? I mean aside from the recent Richard III madness? Highcross shopping centre seems to be taking over the world with chain restaurants popping up every other week and people shunning some of the great independent pubs and restaurants we have, in order to eat at these endlessly over styled and under delivering places.2

I can't lay claim to this recipe, I can however, tell you that its mega tasty and you should try this one at home. Taken from the Saturday Kitchen Cooking Bible, its quite a fiddly recipe for something that looks very simple but the flavours are fresh and the dish is surprisingly filling. Warning note - there is lots of washing up so rope in a friend to help!3

This is something I've posted to my Gingey Bites facebook page previously and having made & loved it a second time last week, I decided it deserved a spot on the blog. Beautiful, simple and really quick to throw together, this is a perfect supper for busy nights plus if you're cooking for someone else, it also looks pretty impressive.2
I picked up a load of Dell'Ugo filled pastas on my first (and frankly mind blowing) trip to Costco last month, recognising the brand from a local deli. Although the pasta is fresh, it freezes really well and so, as a single lady, these are perfect for portion control AND meal planning. This particular one - the crab & crayfish ravioli is superb - packed full of crayfish tails and crab meat and really tasty.

I officially have the BEST friends in the world. For my 30th back in November, I was treated by two of my friends to dinner at the two Michelin starred Sat Bains! Finally, last weekend after what seemed like forever, the day finally rolled around and we headed over to Nottingham full of excitement for what was bound to be an amazing evening!0
