Oh its a glamorous life, or it was for one evening last week, as I headed over to the launch party of the new Fuzzy Duck Pub & Kitchen in Nuneaton. There were several food bloggers going, some of them already good friends so with the cocktails and conversation flowing, I knew it'd be a fun night.2

With Vicky (my trusty sidekick) at my side, I ventured out the other side of Leicester last week for dinner at Boboli, a family run Italian restaurant in Kibworth. We often find we need a midweek pep me up and it always makes sense to tie it into trying somewhere new. I've been meaning to eat at Boboli for ages as I've been aware of them for a while - the same people own The Lighthouse nearby which is also meant to be very nice.

If you follow Gingey Bites on instagram you'll know that I had a cheeky girls weekend away recently with a couple of fellow blogger friends. Charlotte and I are clearly the less organised of the three and it was Emily who found our beds for us. She did a great job - we stayed at The Grove in Cromer, Norfolk - a 4 star and very beautiful little hotel which has been run by the same family since 1936.

I can take no credit for this recipe, its something my brother saw once and has adapted to his own taste. In my opinion, the best recipes are always the ones which are tried and tested and have been tweaked here and there over the years. When he made it a few weeks back I made him show me the ropes so that I could note it all down. The proper name (according to google) for this dish is Kefta Mkaoura and its incredibly simple to make and full of Morrocan flavours. Go on.. give it a try..6

I'm a big fan of summer rolls and when I saw a Tesco Vietnamese Spring Roll Kit appear in my cupboard (thanks to my bro moving in & bringing the entire contents of his old kitchen with him), I knew I had to give it a whirl.

I'm often at St Pancras, its a fabulous train station and the one that takes me in and out of London from the Midlands. I always have a look over at Searcys Champagne Bar. But until now, I'd never actually been in. Every now and again, me, my mum and sister get to spend some time together and last week we had the whole day together in London before heading to the O2 to see Fleetwood Mac (yes I know.. you're all jealous!).
We agreed to meet at Searcys for a drop of something cold and fizzy before heading elsewhere for lunch. Once there, the menu looked nice and we only wanted nibbles so we opted to stay put in our leather booth.
