Quick Trip: Bertinet Bakery, Bath

Yum
For anyone visiting Bath with a sweet tooth, first stop has to be the small but perfectly formed Bertinet Bakery.

You might recognise the name; it belongs to French chef and baker Richard Bertinet. He's pretty well known and a very good baker with a long list of accolades behind him. Along with his wife, he moved to Bath around 12 years ago and opened a cookery school and a bakery in the city and now, another - this painfully cute bakery and shop on New Bond Street Place.

We opted for a couple of apricot frangipane tarts and took them home to enjoy with a pot of tea. They were absolutely heavenly! Perfect treats for a weekend afternoon. We also picked up a loaf of freshly made sourdough which we ate over the next few days alongside home made soup.

Have you been to Bertinet Bakery? Even better, have you attended one of their cookery classes? Let me know in the comments below!
